As you all know by now, and if you don’t then you have not been paying attention, I love tomatoes. Tomatoes might be my most favourite food in the world. Of course, I am talking about good tomatoes. Bad tomatoes, out of season and shipped across the world tomatoes, are not my thing. Some day …

There just don’t seem to be enough hours in the day! I am ready to talk recipes now, however. It is tomato season for some, and others of us still await the first blush or for those pesky green shoulders to finally turn. There is nothing I love more than a fresh tomato. My parents …

I am patient. I am patient. I am patient. This is what I say to myself every day. Soon, the garden payoff comes, right? (LOTS of photos after all the text) Today I harvested: 12 oz. of onions. They were not growing any bigger, I have been watching, and I need the space for new …

Harvest Monday – Mojito Style

Harvest Monday – Mojito Style

I must note, because I know I have forgotten every week prior, that you can find much more Harvest Monday excitement at Daphne’s Dandelions! The harvests have slowed down, which is rather sad considering they never really ramped up. After some discussion, a cold frame is to be built so that early greens can be …

Lemon Balm Pesto

Lemon Balm Pesto

Mr. T.U.H. was grilling salmon for dinner. As I was walking around the garden taking note of what happened while I was at work, I noticed the lemon balm was growing like crazy. I figured it was time to pick some, but I was kind of at a loss as for what to do with …
